When solutes pass through halo particles they diffuse into porous halo particles and are retained in pores. The retention order depends on the polarity of the solutes. Non-polar solute will be retained the most.
The porous structure of C18 allow the high pressure operation, and flowrate range: 0-1.4 mL/min
